What we do

Plumbing for the house, the shop and the pasture.

Small fixes, big digs and everything between, for homes and businesses. Most of it you can price yourself further down the page.

Repairs and small jobs

The dripping tap, the toilet that won't stop running, the shower that leaks. Backflow devices put in and tested, too.

We clear the clog, then run a camera down the line to see why it backed up. Old lines get the jetter.

How it works

One phone call to a fixed pipe.

Weekdays, Chrystal picks up in our Wichita Falls office. Tell her what's wrong and where you are, and she'll get a crew on the calendar.

  1. STEP 01

Mon to Fri, 8 to 5

    Call the shop

Tell us what's going on, where the job is and where the bill goes. A rough price over the phone is usually free.

  2. STEP 02

    Same call

    We book the time

We plan the visit from what you tell us, so mention everything. A "while you're here" job may need its own trip.

  3. STEP 03

    On the day

We find it, then fix it

Usually two plumbers. The camera and leak gear come along, so we know what we're dealing with before we dig.

  4. STEP 04

    When it's done

    Pay at the end

Cash, check, debit, credit or an online payment link. Need a payment plan? Talk to the office first.

Why the Goodins

A family name on the license, and on the truck.

Gary used to pick J.C. up from school to help crawl under houses. These days the family runs five trucks and trains apprentices hired straight out of high school.

The rate is on the page

$130 an hour for one plumber, $185 for two, from the time we're dispatched. Equipment fees are listed too.

Licensed Master Plumber

J.C. holds Master Plumber license M-40505. His dad Gary started in the trade in the early '70s and still consults.

We look before we dig

A camera goes in the drain and the leak gear finds the wet spot, so nobody tears up a floor on a guess.

One truck grew to five

An i.d.e.a. Wichita Falls grant paid for new leak gear, and in November 2025 we opened a new location.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does the hourly rate cover?

The clock starts when we're dispatched. It covers the drive to you, figuring out the repair, and any trips for parts. We carry the common parts on the trucks, but some jobs need a run to the supply house.

Why isn't the estimate at my house free?

Sending a plumber and a truck out costs us the same either way, so it's billed like a service call. When we do the job, that fee comes off your bill. A rough price over the phone is usually free.

Why are two plumbers coming?

Most jobs go faster with two, and some aren't safe for one. You can ask for one plumber when you book, and we'll tell you if the job needs two.

It's 9 pm and there's water on the floor. Now what?

After-hours work isn't our usual, but if we have a crew free, we'll come, at time and a half. Call J.C. at (940) 704-8133.

When are you open?

Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Closed weekends, plus New Year's Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Can I buy my own fixtures?

Sure. Just know our warranties don't cover material you supply. Material we supply goes on the invoice.

When do I pay?

When the work's done, unless you've set something up with the office first. Cash, check, debit, credit or an online payment link. Balances unpaid after 30 days without an approved payment plan may be charged 10% interest a month, and a returned check is $25.

Is the estimate the final price?

No. An estimate is our best guess from what we know going in, not a bid. If something changes once we open things up, we'll tell you right away.

Are you hiring?

We're always looking for Texas licensed plumbers. Call (940) 766-4411, email a résumé to goodinplumbing@yahoo.com, or come by 404 Galveston St.

Who licenses plumbers in Texas?

The Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, 7915 Cameron Rd., Austin, TX 78765. Phone (512) 936-5200, tsbpe.texas.gov. Our Master Plumber license is M-40505.
